Managing for Superior Results.
The Fundamentals of Supervision

The people who deliver superior results are not simply doing more of the same things everyone else does; they are doing better things, and they are making everything count. Very small differences, consistently practiced, produce superior results.

The Fundamentals of Supervision (FOS) Certificate Program serves to develop basic leadership skills for new and potential managers, as well as experienced managers who seek to refresh their skills. There is one course, Performance Management, which must be taken in person.

What are the basic principles of supervision?

Principles of supervision:

- Be clear about why there is a need for supervision and who has asked for it.
- Set a time frame for the supervision session; even a few minutes of focused time can be worthwhile.
- Protect the time and space where possible and appropriate; try to ensure there will be no interruptions and that there is privacy.
